Our fundraising campaign continues in 2017 – year of our 30th anniversary! – and we’re adding an interesting way to support the publication of the magazine as well as the work of an artist, while bying an exclusive artwork at an affordable price.

This issue of ESPACE art actuel  is inaugurating a series of 30 magazines that will have inserted an original work — signed and numered — by an artist.

For this edition no. 115, we propose documentation from Steve Giasson’s Performance invisible no. 20 (Imaginer une pièce vide).

Steve Giasson is a conceptual artist who lives and works in Montreal. His work has been presented in nine di erent countries in Europe and North America, most notably at the Liverpool Biennial 2012, ED RUSCHA BOOKS & Co. at Museum Brandhorst, Munich and at Gagosian Gallery in New York City, Paris and Beverly Hills. He is the winner of the Prix de La Vitrine Culturelle for an emerging artist and a Mention from the Cirque du Soleil for his work in Art Souterrain 2015.

In addition, you will find inside issue no. 115, the text (in french) Performances invisibles : entre l’histoire et le présent by Nicolas Rivard, which precisely reviews the 130 statements that the conceptual artist has gathered under the title of Invisible Performances”.
